Diving in Norway is not for everyone and that's why it is so fascinating. But who is used to dive in the Baltic Sea, in the North Sea or in muddy or cold lakes, those can dive safely and easily also in Norway!

Spring (April, May June):
The water is cold with 4-8 ° C. Some fjords are covered with ice and even colder. The visibility is usually pretty good (10 to 25 meters). When the snow melts in April it may go down. Night dives are impossible from May because of the midnight sun.

Summer (July, August, September):
In summer, the water reaches temperatures of 12 to 14 ° C. Even if the visibility may be temporarily less good, it remains mostly in average with at least 10 to 20 meters. Many fishes can be observed. Night dives are possible from the end of August. In September autumn may come, but often it is still a really nice month.

Autumn (October, November):
The weather is unstable and can also decrease the visibility. The water is still quite warm from summer (9 to 11 ° C) and there is much marine life to observe. Especially night dives are very good now. Boat tours can not be guaranteed due to the weather conditions.

Winter (February, March):
Fascinating winter landscapes and crystal clear water (visibilities of 60 meters are possible). The water is cold with 4-6 ° C. Ice dives are possible in the fjords. Weather-related cancellations of boat tours are likely.
