You can reach our base in Mid-Norway by car or plane.
Here are some basic information. Contact us for details and/or if we can help you with any tour arrangements!

Good to know:

- In Scandinavian countries, speeding and drunk
driving are very seriously punished - rather risk
  nothing!
- The costs for sport bagage are very different
from airline to airline. Norwegian can be
  recommended but that might change.
- Reagrding alcohol and tobacco, you should
  consider the customs regulations (www.toll.no).
- When leaving Norway it is allowed to take 15kg
sea fish, as well as one "trophy fish" with you.
- Almost all toll booths are now automatic.
Invoices for the use  of roads and bridges will
be sent by post or can be payed at some gas
stations in Norway. Also, online payment in
advance by credit card is possible.
- The Norwegian currency is the crown. For one
Euro you get usually about 8 "kroner" (NOK).
Credit cards are very common - you need the
  PIN. VISA is most common.
- Only for other European countries: There is no
adapter for the power outlets  required. Also, no
  special vaccinations are necessary.

By car

It is possible to travel to Norway via Denmark or Germany by ferry or on land across Sweden.

Ferry Kiel - Oslo: Color Line ferries travels from Kiel to Oslo. Journey time just under a day (afternoon departure, arrival in the morning). One of the easiest ways to travel and you save some hundred kilometres on the highway. Unfortunately during the high-season it is not cheap.
Information and reservations:
www.colorline.com

Ferry DK - N: Different routes are available. Hirtshals and Frederikshavn, Denmark are the ports to start froms. Kristiansand, Oslo and Larvik in Norway are the destinations. Oslo and Larvik can be recommended. The routes are served by Color Line and Stena Line. The crossings take four to twelve hours and the prices vary but are generally relatively low throughout the year. Information and reservations: www.colorline.com, www.stenaline.com

Vogelfluglinie D-DK-SN: First from Puttgarden on Fehmarn to the Danish island of Sealand, passing the capital Copenhagen  and by ferry or bridge to Sweden (Note: The bridges over the Great Belt and Øresund are toll roads). Along the Swedish west coast and across the border to reach Oslo/Norway. Information and booking: www.scandlines.com

Oslo, Norway - Base: All previously described routes run via Oslo. From Oslo to us there are about 700 kilometres to drive - at least nine hours. We recommend to take first the E6 towards Trondheim, then to shorten the way the R3. This saves about 50 kilometres and the roads are also good. Finally you come back on the E6 and pass Trondheim and Steinkjer. A few kilometres north of Steinkjer, turn left to the 17 in the direction of Namsos.
After about 30 kilometres you will find in Sjøåsen the 766 to the left beside a outdoor-/fishing equipment shop which goes to Utvorda and Statland. Depending on the accommodation / tour will meet in Utvorda or Statland.

By Plane

Various airlines fly mostly to Oslo (Gardermoen). From there are regular routes to Trondheim (Værnes). By train you can ride comfortably to Steinkjer, or we will pick you up from the airport! Norwegian also offers direct flights to Trondheim from Berlin Brandenburg for very cheap prices, also Lufthansa/SAS from Frankfurt/Main. KLM flies from/via Amsterdam.
